JCraft S-3VC Vintage 2023

Taking the exceptional craftsmanship to higher altitudes, the S-3 Vintage series gets a new design overhaul with a fresh headstock design for maximum delivered sustains and better aesthetics. The S-3 is equipped with the JCraft Crossroads 60's Alnico Pickup Set, delivering smooth vintage tones. It is made with Poplar body paired with a Maple neck and Laurel Fretboard - a similar tonewood to rosewood, the only difference is the darker shade. Poplar has been used on many big brand guitars and has been a great alternative to the Alder wood. For 2023, the relic design on the Antique models have been immensely improved.

The components and hardware of the S-3 remain the same with a vintage 6-point tremolo with bent steel saddle for a vintage bite, combined with a big steel block for increased sustain. The neck is finished with synthetic bone nut to ensure excellent vibration transfer on both ends of the string. At the same time, synthetic material ensures consistency, similar to Graphtech engineered nuts. While the aesthetics and hardware are vintage in style, the fingerboard radius is a modern 14" radius for better playability and can be setup for low action.
