Collection: KRIS GOMEZ
Kris Gomez is a guitar, bass, and drums instructor hailing from Antipolo, Rizal.
He first started to dabble with the guitar at the age of 12, and was fortunate enough to receive tutelage from the legendary Filipino shredder Chuck Eribal (Magnum Opus). From there he sought to gain more experience and played for a few metal bands around the metro. Later, he and his band of friends formed the progressive metal act known as Ophidia.
After receiving multiple trainings, certificates, and earning his guitar performance diploma from RSL Awards UK, his skillset landed him an opportunity to work as a music instructor locally at Academy of Rock (AOR) Makati, then abroad at AOR Malaysia. He was also based in Brunei under Expression Music BN for a couple of years.
Upon his return to Manila, he started writing songs under his solo project Kris G's Catharsis and has performed around the metal scene in the post-pandemic era. Right now he is focused on his role as a vocalist and guitarist for the j-rock group Re:ANIMUS, playing anime and pop-culture themed sets at your nearest convention.
